YES YOU CAN HAVE THE SLEEP YOU NEED

WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR BABY ALONE TO CRY

PLUS DEEPEN CONNECTION AND SECURE ATTACHMENT WITH YOUR BABY

HELP YOUR BABY SLEEP WITHOUT LEAVING THEM TO CRY IT OUT

If you are struggling to get the sleep you need, worried about your baby not sleeping well and don’t want to harm your baby in any way with sleep training methods that make you shudder – there is good news coming your way.

There really is a way you and your baby can get the sleep you both need while also ensuring that you actually deepen your connection with your baby rather than risk harming them emotionally with sleep training methods that don’t feel right to you.

There really is a way for you to help your baby sleep without leaving them alone to cry while also ensuring secure attachment which helps ensure their emotional wellbeing into the future. This approach also only requires your loving presence, your loving connection and your ability to listen to your baby.

You will not need to use white noise, strict schedules, swaddling, black out the room or leave your baby alone to cry it out.

You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and incorporate the teachings and the action steps in your own time. So you gently and gradually gain confidence in the approach as you incorporate the tools into caring for your child during day to day life becayse you will see the amazing results so rapidly.

The PCL method will help if any of the following apply to you and your baby.

*Your baby wakes after short bursts of sleep.

*You baby has colic / gastric reflux and nothing you do seems to help.

*Your baby has times of being fussy at the breast and you don’t know what to do.

*You had a challenging pregnancy and/or birth that was traumatic or required medical intervention.

*You cannot simply put your baby in their cot or bassinet or on the bed sleepy but awake like you read about – they are just so unsettled.

*Your baby loves going to sleep in your arms BUT as soon as you put them in the bassinet or cot they wake and cry again.

*Your baby wakes regularly through the night and wants to feed even though they are six months or older and putting on weight well.

* Your baby wakes when their pacifier falls out during the night and you have to keep getting up to put it back in.

* You are conscious about providing secure emotional attachment for your baby.

*You are trying everything you can to help your baby sleep – rocking, breastfeeding, swaying, walking in a carrier or pram, drives in the car and you would like your baby to go off to sleep without having to do these things.

* You feel anxious, helpless, angry or sad about your sleep problems.

*You don’t feel comfortable about “ sleep training” your baby and leaving them to cry it out in a room alone. You know in your heart this does not feel right but you are also at your wits end with what else to do.

* You feel ready to meet your need for deep sleep without risking the emotional or physical wellbeing of your baby.

THE BABY SLEEP AND SECURE ATTACHMENT DOUBLE BIND

I absolutely understand the double bind of caring so much about our baby’s emotional and physical well being and being willing to do anything to make sure we take good care of them, while also being completely out of our mind with lack of sleep and endless waking through the night and/or stressful and often short nap times.

You may have already done a lot of research and asked for help from professionals but I know that when I went through this process, nothing I was told really felt right to me.

One nurse told me to give my baby no eye contact and to look at my phone while I rocked the cot from side to side really fast.  This made absolutely no sense to me at all. How could I turn away from my baby?

Another professional told me to stand with my feet apart holding my baby in the sling of my arm while I swayed him from side to side (also fast). This was so exhausting for me and he would wake again when I put him into his cot.

Of course I also knew about sleeping training methods and was 100 percent certain I was not going to do that either.

I was psycotherapy trained and I knew the importance of staying with my baby when he was distressed and I was simply not willing to leave him alone at all. I knew how much he needed me to be present in order to feel safe and securely attached.

And at the same time I was going so crazy with desperation to get sleep and I didn’t know what to do.

So when I finally discovered and refined this approach I  was so relieved. I knew that it felt absolutely right. So right that I couldn’t believe I had not been given this information from any of the professionals I had seen up to this point.

So now when I explain this approach to mothers, many look at me as if a light bulb has just been turned on.

“ Why hasn’t any one told me about this before”.

“Everything about this makes sense”.

Finally an approach to helping our baby that meets our need to provide warm, loving connection with our child PLUS helping them get the sleep they need and in turn helping us get the sleep we need to be able to enjoy our life as a mum.

I really believe that this method, can help form the basis of your parenting,  your personal personal development and the for years to come – could be like a balm to your heart and soul. Like it has been for me.

This approach offers a paradigm shift in the way we think about babies and their needs and is also a shift in the way we respond to our baby when they are upset and distressed.

No matter how exhausted you are from the constant waking, the endless efforts to settle your baby to sleep with what ever methods you are trying and your deep desire not to harm your baby emotionally by leaving them to cry alone – there is absolutely GOOD News coming your way.

There really is a method of helping your baby  ( and just as importantly you ) sleep soundly within hours or days from absorbing the understandings and implementing the PCL tools into your daily life with your baby.

It is about providing our babies with three essential elements they need to really offload all the tension and upset that is getting in the way of their sleep. And that is your loving presence, your connection and your ability to listen to your baby (with presence and connection) when they are upset.

Now while I call it a method, this approach to helping your baby sleep doesn’t just stop at helping sleep. It is a way of being with your self and your children that can enhance and enrich your personal and family life.

With PCL you lay down the neurological foundatiions to help your children develop heatlhy self esteem and you can create harmony in your family for years to come.
